What it does
This bill would require the Secretary of Defense to submit an action plan to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees within 180 days of enactment, outlining a strategy for deploying Airborne Collision Avoidance System-X (ACAS-X) across military aircraft. The plan would need to cover a deployment roadmap, research and testing needs, funding requirements, interoperability with existing aircraft tracking systems (ADS-B), and safety benefit assessments. Within 30 days of submitting the plan, the Secretary would also be required to brief both committees on its contents and any steps toward implementation.
