What it does
This bill would require the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the USGS, to establish a program using quantum gravity gradiometry (a sensing technology) to survey at least three federal land areas for critical minerals and rare earth elements. It would require the resulting data to be integrated into the existing Earth Mapping Resources Initiative database and made public, and would require a report to Congress within 24 months comparing this technology's performance to conventional survey methods.
